Weekend Trip to Dublin
Friday, 5 July to Sunday, 7 July.


Skibbereen and District Historical Society are planning a trip to Dublin's Glasnevin Cemetery, Garden of Remembrance and Kilmainham Gaol from Friday 5th July to Sunday 7th July. Those going will stay at Royal Hotel, Bray which will include 2xB/B and 2xevening meals.  Whole cost will be 194euro per person sharing {single supplement applies}. There will be leisure time on first afternoon and evening - perhaps a visit to National Sea Life Centre or a trip by DART to city centre. Main destinations on Saturday. The Skibbereen and District Historical Society

     The Society is based in Skibbereen, County Cork, Ireland.  The Society was founded in January 2002, after two month's preparation, with the aim of encouraging interest in the history of West Cork and the Skibbereen area in particular.

    The Society organises talks on various historical topics, and these talks are normally held in the West Cork Hotel, Skibbereen, on the last Thursday of the month.  Field trips to historical sites are also organised during the summer.

    The Society is a voluntary non-profiting making organisation and is affiliated to the Federation of Local History Societies.
